 System Overview
The Data Access System is designed for testing laboratories. The system provides a professional data and project management, and an effective channel for distribution of data.
Test data is loaded into the system from Excel or database. System administrators manage the data and provide data access to intended users.
Pipeson design all the Data Access Systems in close collaboration with the client, to assure that all your specific needs are fulfilled.

 Components
Data Access Systems are built using four main components, all purpose designed.
- Test Database
Contains all test data that should be accessed by different users. Data can easily be inserted from Excel or a database. Equipped with the included Pipeson database modules, we recommend that you move from using Excel to the reliable SQL database.
- Pipeson Web Service
The web interface used by Analyzer and Access Manager for accessing the data stored in the Test database.
- Pipeson Access Manager
Administrates user access rights and creates user plugins (encrypted data
access keys).
- Pipeson Analyzer
The data access client. Users can check for project updates and download Analyzer files.
Pipeson makes necessary adaptations of the components to fit your current data management structure and IT environment.

 Applications
As testing lab you perform pipe tests for many different purposes e.g. research, product development, material classifications, product certifications, product validations and quality control.
It is important to have a professional and efficient work flow as time and accuracy are critical. You test data, work with data, communicate data and results.
A lot of added value and time savings can be obtained in all these steps, with a Data Access System.
- Laboratories
All pipe tests are inserted and updated in the Test Database. The database provides control and reliability. Access to data is set in the Access Manager. User plugins are distributed to all people that work with the data. You have quick data access. Lots of time will be saved as the need for distributing project updates is reduced.
- Analyzer users
Analyzer users can securely access test data from all over the world. Download data and review your projects, whenever you would like. No need to request updates and no need to wait for updates. With the data in Analyzer you can perform all needed tasks.

 User Cases
Pipeson have had the pleasure to work with Exova and Kiwa in the design of their Data Access Systems.
Both companies are accredited and fully independent, providing testing and evaluation services to the global plastics piping industry. Every year they start thousands of pipe tests.
Their common objective was to strengthen their internal project and data management, in order to provide improved client service. At the same time they wanted to provide full data access to all their clients around the world.
- Exova Online system
Exova Polymer in Sweden is specialized in tests for pressure pipes. Exova use the Pipeson Data Access System for internal and external project communication. Project managers and clients have full access to all test data. This fact is particularly valuable in their fast moving leasing projects, where the clients are monitoring the progress on a daily basis.

- Kiwa Online system
Kiwa testing services have the mission to provide expert services to assure and improve quality and safety of pipe materials and piping systems. Kiwa wanted to create an effective work flow and spend less time updating and communicating data. Laboratory staff, Kiwa certification specialists and Kiwa clients have access to the test data located in the online database.
