Stephen Boros holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Oklahoma and a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University. He started his career in the plastics piping industry in 1989 at Solvay Polymers, where he took on the responsibility as Product Development and Services Engineer for polyethylene pipe resins. In 1995 he joined CSR Pipeline Systems as the Technical Services Manager, and in 1998 he moved to Group Timberline. As President he was leading the work with design, manufacturing and marketing of plastic couplings for HDPE conduit systems.
In 2003 Stephen became the Technical Director for Plastics Pipe Institute (PPI). PPI is the major trade association representing all segments of the plastics piping industry. As the Technical Director he drove the technical excellence of PPI and was the chairman of several important groups and committees such as the PPI Technical Committee and the PPI Hydrostatic Stress Board. He was heavily involved in the continuous improvement of National and International standards e.g. ISO, ASTM, CSA, ASME, AWWA and API, as well as PPI documents.
With 25 years of experience he currently holds the position of VP Engineering at Pipeline Plastics LLC.
