In 1999 Stefan Dreckötter completed his master studies of Materials Science at the University of Advanced Science in Osnabrück, Germany. From 1999 he was employed as Project Manager Material Development at Hewing based in Ochtrup, Germany. His main responsibility was development and improvement of current products and processes with new or improved materials. This work led to several patents.

In 2009 he joined Borealis as Application and Marketing Manager focusing on hot and cold water applications. In his current position, Application development and Technical Service for Borealis, he continues to focus on PEX, PP-R and PP-RCT materials.

He has published several scientific articles and is active in many organizations on national and international levels i.e. ASTM, CEN, DIN, ISO, DVGW, KRV, and represents Borealis in PPI.
