Jarno Hassinen joined Exova Group in 2001 after completing his master’s degree at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. His master thesis was a research project on behalf of Bodycote and Ciba Specialty Chemicals. The thesis led to a scientific publication in the field of oxidative resistance to chlorinated water and additive depletion of polyethylene. Since 2001 he has continued to focus on chlorine testing and evaluation.

Jarno Hassinen has specific expertise in the development of optimized test and evaluation procedures for chlorinated water. He is well known in the industry and a frequent presenter at conferences worldwide. He is also active within ISO standardization for plastics pipes , fittings and valves for the transport of fluids i.e. i.e. ISO/TC 138 SC2 (water), SC4 (gas) and SC5 (testing). He is a member of the Hydrostatic Stress Board of Plastics Pipes Institute in North America.
