James Paschal received his BS in Aerospace Engineering from Iowa State University, and MSE in Plastics Engineering from the University of Michigan. He is a registered professional engineer, LEED accredited professional, and certified quality manager. He has over 20 years of experience in the plastic piping industry, including 14 years with NSF conducting research, testing and certification of materials and piping systems, failure analysis, and development and verification of manufacturer quality assurance programs.

At NSF he held positions of Director of Laboratories, Chief Engineer, and General Manager for Plumbing & Mechanical, and Drinking Water Additives. He then spent four years as Principal Engineer with Bodycote Materials Group conducting research and forensic engineering related to plastic piping systems.
