New expert

Pipeson welcomes Ata Ciechanowski, Assistant Director, Engineering Laboratories,
NSF International, as a new member of our expert panel. His areas of expertise are plastics and plumbing as well as codes and standards of plastics piping systems.
Mr. Ciechanowski received his B.S.E. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Tennessee in 1996. He started working at NSF International in 1998 and while working in different positions at NSF he also completed a Master’s in Engineering (Plastics Engineering) from the University of Michigan in 2002. Ata also has a Professional Engineering license from the State of Michigan.
Today he is responsible for all testing related to plastics piping systems – HDS, chlorine, performance and materials. He also represents NSF International on a number of technical committees: ASTM, ASME, AWWA, UL and CSA. Ata is one of the leading experts regarding the requirements, standards and tests needed to attain product approval and certification for use in the North American market.
