Ulf Gedde joins the panel

Professor Ulf W. Gedde of the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm is a new member of the Pipeson expert panel.

Dr. Gedde has over 25 years’ worth of research experience and has studied the basic mechanisms of plastic pipe ageing in different environments. Over the past few years his focus has been on pipes that are exposed to chlorinated water and is among the most prominent in the world in this field.

Dr. Gedde is professor of Polymeric Materials at Fiber & Polymer Technology, School of Chemical Science & Engineering, KTH Royal Institute of Technology. He is also the editor of a scientific journal, the European Polymer Journal and has written ca. 250 scientific articles. He has also written an international textbook ´Polymer Physics’ for students, which is used by universities all over the world. Dr. Gedde has published over 50 scientific articles in the area of plastic pipes and has a close collaboration with Exova as well as with resin producers such as Borealis.

Dr. Gedde will, among other things, be able to answer your questions on long-term behavior and underlying degeneration mechanisms.
